Better Days Shop Policy
Better Days Tattooing – Terms & Conditions
1. Aftercare & Client Responsibility
1.1. Clients are required to follow all aftercare instructions provided by their tattoo artist. These instructions are critical to proper healing and prevention of infection.
1.2. The studio will not be held liable for complications arising from improper aftercare, including but not limited to: infection, fading, scarring, or loss of ink.
1.3. Clients acknowledge that failure to follow aftercare instructions may void any possibility of a free or discounted touch-up.
2. Deposits & Appointment Scheduling
2.1. All tattoo appointments require a non-refundable deposit to secure the scheduled time. Deposits will be applied toward the final cost of the tattoo session.
2.2. A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to reschedule an appointment without forfeiting the deposit.
2.3. Failure to attend the scheduled appointment without proper notice (“no-call, no-show”) will result in the loss of the deposit and may result in refusal of future bookings.
2.4. Deposits are non-transferable between clients and cannot be refunded under any circumstances, including change-of-mind or dissatisfaction with design style if the tattoo has not yet been started.
3. Late Arrival & Cancellation Policy
3.1. Clients are expected to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to their appointment to complete paperwork and prepare for their session.
3.2. Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may result in the appointment being rescheduled at the artist’s discretion. In such cases, the deposit will be forfeited.
3.3. The studio reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case the client’s deposit will remain valid for a new appointment.
4. Parking & Liability Disclaimer
4.1. Client parking is available in the designated spaces directly in front of the shop.
4.2. The studio is not responsible for any parking tickets, towed vehicles, or damages incurred while parking in non-approved areas or on the street.
4.3. Clients acknowledge that they park at their own risk and that the studio bears no liability for theft or property damage while on premises.
5. Payment Policy
5.1. Cash is the preferred and most prominent form of payment at Better Days Tattooing.
5.2. Acceptance of digital or electronic payments (such as Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, or credit card) is at the discretion of the individual artist.
5.3. Clients should confirm their artist’s accepted payment methods prior to their appointment.
5.4. All payments must be made in full at the completion of the tattoo session unless otherwise agreed upon by the artist.
6. Gift Cards & Store Credit
6.1. Gift cards are valid for tattoo services or merchandise only and have no cash value.
6.2. Gift cards are non-refundable and must be presented at the time of the appointment to redeem.
6.3. Gift cards expire 16 months from the date of purchase. Expired gift cards will not be honored or extended.
6.4. Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced. The studio bears no responsibility for unauthorized use.
7. Numbing Cream Policy
7.1. Better Days Tattooing generally discourages the use of numbing creams, as they can alter the skin’s texture and affect the tattooing process.
7.2. Numbing cream is especially discouraged on people of color, as it can create inconsistencies in skin response during tattooing.
7.3. Exceptions may be made for certain highly sensitive body areas (such as ribs or sternum) if absolutely necessary, and only with the artist’s approval prior to the session.
7.4. Clients who wish to use numbing cream must discuss it with their artist in advance and bring the product to the appointment for approval.
8. General Shop Rules & Conduct
8.1. Only the client receiving a tattoo may enter the procedure area. Guests, children, and pets are not permitted for safety and sanitation reasons.
8.2. Emotional support animals are permitted in the shop if they are well-behaved and do not disrupt the tattooing process.
8.3. No food or beverages are allowed in the tattooing areas.
8.4. Clients must not be intoxicated on alcohol, illegal substances, or prescription medications that impair judgment. Medical and recreational marijuana are permitted; however, clients must remain coherent and cooperative during their session.
8.5. The studio reserves the right to refuse service to any client for any reason, including inappropriate behavior, hygiene concerns, or failure to comply with shop policies.
8.6. Our restroom and all tattoo booths, including the piercing booth, are fully handicap accessible.
9. Non-Discrimination & Refusal of Hate Tattoos
9.1. Better Days Tattooing does not discriminate in providing services based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, religious beliefs, or any other personal characteristic.
9.2. We will refuse to create any tattoo that promotes bigotry, hatred, racism, homophobia, sexism, or discrimination of any kind.
9.3. All clients are treated with respect and dignity, and any form of harassment or hate will result in refusal of service.
10. Acknowledgment of Terms
By booking an appointment and/or signing the consent form, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions listed above.
